At Tickenham Garage, we believe in being open, honest, and transparent about the costs of maintaining and repairing your vehicle. Our Fair Pricing Policy is designed to give you peace of mind, knowing that you are paying a reasonable and competitive price for quality workmanship.

1. Transparent Estimates

  • We provide a clear written or verbal estimate before any work is carried out.
  • Estimates include parts, labour, and VAT where applicable.
  • If additional work is required, we will always contact you for approval before proceeding or gain your approval at the booking stage. 
  • Estimates are a guide to the price of work to be undertaken, there are sometimes situations beyond our control and we will always do our very best to update you as we progress with your vehicle. 

2. No Hidden Charges

  • Where we provide a quotation for a fixed price repair or service, the price you are quoted is the price you will pay (unless you authorise extra work).
  • We do not add surprise fees or unnecessary charges.

3. Competitive and Fair Labour Rates

  • Our labour rates are set at a fair level that reflects the skill, training, equipment and time taken by our qualified technicians.
  • We regularly benchmark our prices against other independent garages in the local area to ensure we remain competitive.

4. Quality Parts at Fair Prices

  • Wherever possible, we use high-quality, manufacturer-approved, or equivalent parts.
  • Where we see a benefit to you, we will advise you of options available (e.g. genuine vs aftermarket parts) and the differences in cost and warranty.
  • We do not offer second hand parts unless this is the only available option to us and it is approved by the workshop manager. 

5. Clear Invoicing

  • All invoices provide a detailed breakdown of parts, labour, and VAT.
  • We are happy to explain any aspect of the bill so you fully understand what you are paying for.

6. Warranty & Aftercare

  • All parts and labour come with a warranty for your peace of mind.
  • Should you experience any issues, we will investigate promptly and fairly.

7. Customer Choice

  • You are always free to seek a second opinion or take time to consider a quote.
  • We never pressure customers into repairs or services – our reputation is what makes us stand out
